Vani just got a big upgrade. Here's what's new.
Image and video generation in chat
You can now create images and short videos right inside your conversations — just ask.
- Images: GPT Image 2, GPT Image 2.5 Flare, GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst and Grok Imagine.
- Video: Grok Imagine creates 6-second clips.
- Available on every plan, including Free. Each generation uses your plan's allowance.
New models: Claude Opus 5.5 and GPT-6.1 Sol
- Claude Opus 5.5 from Anthropic is now available in Vani Chat on every plan, and on the Vani API.
- GPT-6.1 Sol from OpenAI is now available in Vani Chat on every plan, and on the Vani API. It's also the default model for guest chat.
Coming soon: Claude Sonnet 5.5
We're getting Claude Sonnet 5.5 ready and will announce it here as soon as it's available.
API access is back
The Vani API is live again at https://api.vani.ai/v1. Existing API keys and prepaid balances from the previous platform work as before, and you can manage keys, balance and usage at platform.vani.ai.
Fixes and improvements
- Restored API access for platform customers, including GLM-5.3 Flash at its previous price.
- Prepaid API balances carried over from the previous platform are fully available again.
- GLM-5.3 Derisked is back in Vani Chat.
- Fairer usage limits for guests: fixed an issue where some guests shared one allowance.
- Image and video tools now appear in chat for every plan.
